In this FREE 1-hour Zoom class, join Special Victims Sergeant Sergeant Brian Williamsfor a one-hour Zoom course, Patrol Response to Sex Crimes, designed specifically for patrol officers. This training will help first responders understand the impact of trauma on victims and recognize the critical role they play in these sensitive cases. Officers will gain valuable insights into best practices for conducting preliminary investigations, as well as key dos and don’ts at sex crime scenes.

The course emphasizes a trauma-informed approach, ensuring that patrol officers can respond effectively while preserving the integrity of the investigation. Participants will also learn how to gather minimal facts during initial interviews, work collaboratively with victim advocates, and set detectives up for success in their cases.
