Brian Williams

A second-generation police officer, he began his public service with the United States Marine Corps where he served one tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Specialist. After his time in the Marines, he joined the Norfolk (VA) Police Department in 2006.

During his career as a police officer, Brian served in both the 1st and 3rd Precincts as a Patrol Officer and Field Training Instructor where he received numerous awards to include Police Officer of the year in 2010 for solving a series of sexual assaults. In 2012 he began his career in investigations where he spent most of his time investigating residential and commercial burglaries.

In 2015 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant where he worked as a Patrol Sergeant in the 2nd Precinct for four years. In 2019, Brian transferred back to investigations where he serves in the Special Crimes Unit overseeing and working sexual assault and family violence investigations. Brian works closely with the department’s Cold Case Unit and has helped spearhead solving cold case rapes. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Logistics. In 2021, Brian became a licensed private investigator in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Brian prides himself on being victim centered and has a passion for interview and interrogation. He has been instructing law enforcement officers and recruits in the field and classroom since 2008. Teaching police officers to conduct thorough investigations through various methods and techniques is his favorite part of the job and is what led him to co-found Pinnacle TCI, LLC!
