Alexa Thompson



Alexa P. Thompson (née Nicastro) has been working in Crime Scene Investigations for approximately 6 years, working thousands of major cases. She graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Forensic Science with a minor in psychology. During her time at West Virginia University, she interned with the Forensics Unit at Norfolk Police Department. After graduating West Virginia University, Alexa became a civilian Crime Scene Specialist for Little Rock Police Department. She received employee of the month in December of 2017 for her outstanding work for obtaining the suspect’s fingerprints on a murder weapon.

After leaving Little Rock Police Department, Alexa has since been hired on at Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department as a civilian Crime Scene Investigator. She was recognized by her Major and received a Challenge coin award for her work with FARO 3D scanners, consistent work on following up on cases, communication with detectives and going the extra step in all she does. Alexa had been rewarded employee of the month multiple times and has become a trainer for new employees within her unit. Alexa is passionate about all of her cases no matter the severity and in turn enjoys training and teaching others based on her experiences.

Alexa has participated in many educational community events in Charlotte including Kids and Kops as well as the Explorers program. Alexa is also a current member of the International Association for Identification.

Alexa joined the Pinnacle TCI team of growing professionals in 2022. We are honored to have her on our team.
