Jamie Calise
Chief Jamie M. Calise has been a law enforcement officer since 1998. For more than 20 years, he was a member of the City of Warwick (RI) Police Department, retiring as the Commander of the Detective Division. During his tenure, he served in the Patrol, Detective, Professional Standards, Accreditation, Field Training, and Administrative Divisions.
In 2018, Chief Calise was appointed to his current position of Police Chief for the Truro (MA) Police Department. He is presently a member of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council and serves on the CISM/Peer Support and Training and Education Committees for the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association.
For many years, Chief Calise has been active in training and education. He has instructed on a variety of criminal justice topics for college students, police recruits, and sworn officers. His courses have included criminal procedure, police report writing, investigations, first-line supervision, legal issues in personnel management, and field training.
Chief Calise holds a Juris Doctor from New England Law – Boston. He is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and in the Federal District of Rhode Island. Chief Calise also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies from Roger Williams University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rhode Island College.
