Brandon Goins

Brandon Goins is an experienced law enforcement professional with 13 years of active service. Currently, Brandon is a Watch Commander with the Bladensburg Police Department in Prince George’s County Maryland. Before joining the Bladensburg Police Department in 2022, Brandon served for 13 years with the Norfolk Police Department.

During his tenure with the Norfolk Police Department, Brandon served in many capacities including being a Detective and Undercover Officer in the Vice and Narcotics Division as well as a Corporal, Sergeant and Acting Lieutenant in the Gang Suppression Unit. Brandon has gone undercover for the Norfolk Police Department and other law enforcement agencies for numerous types of investigations to include narcotics, currency counterfeiting, and prostitution. He has been recognized as a narcotics subject matter expert in Norfolk General District Court and Norfolk Circuit Court. He has conducted surveillance operations for a variety of investigations to include murder, gang participation, narcotics, and fugitive apprehension and has utilized various surveillance techniques and technology.

Brandon has been awarded the Hampton Roads Crime Line Top Cop award, the Norfolk Police Distinguished Service Medal, a Norfolk Police Commendation letter and 2 nominations for Top Cop for the National Association for Police Organizations.
