Jon Smith, co-founder of Pinnacle TCI, LLC, possesses a robust background in law enforcement and private investigations. Having graduated from Old Dominion University, Jon dedicated over two decades to serving in diverse law enforcement capacities, addressing a wide spectrum of cases. Beyond his distinguished law enforcement career, Jon has channeled his extensive expertise into the realm of private investigations.

Jon is recognized nationally for his contributions to law enforcement and private security training, where he shares contemporary best practices with others. His steadfast commitment to professionalism and excellence has earned him esteemed accolades, including numerous Police Commendation Awards, the Crime Line Top Cop Award in Virginia, and The United States Department of Justice's Fifth Annual Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Service in Community Policing.

Jon's impactful casework has garnered widespread recognition, featuring on prominent media platforms such as Netflix, A&E, John Walsh's America's Most Wanted, People Magazine, Time Magazine, Fox News, numerous podcasts, and local news stations. Frequently called upon as a keynote speaker, Jon brings unique insights into his investigative experiences and is available upon request to share his expertise with organizations seeking to deepen their understanding of complex criminal cases.

Outside of the professional sphere, Jon pursues acting as a creative outlet, appearing in television commercials and various screen productions. This passion for storytelling extends into his current personal project: an autobiography. In his spare time, he is focused on writing about the pivotal experiences that shaped him, documenting the journey and the lessons learned throughout a career defined by truth and justice. Jon also works in the financial services arena, where he helps clients plot a clear path forward, one built on thoughtful planning and protection, and a holistic approach to cash flow analysis.
